Waste removal is something you probably only think about once or twice a decade if ever. Most of your waste is taken away by the bin men working for your local council. When a waste disposal expert is needed, you are generally having something quite drastic done.
Either a major renovation or refurbishment requiring the builders waste being taken away or a house clearance. There are three options open to you, either hire a skip and chuck everything in that to be taken away and processed, or calling in a house clearance/waste disposal company. The final option is dealing with it yourself.
Where a company specialising in waste removal has the edge is that where ever possible, they recycle. Some donate everything which is still usable to charity shops or local good causes, everything else is dealt with as efficiently as possible. While some of the waste will inevitably be just that and end up in landfill, this will be kept to an absolute minimum.
Dealing with waste is a serious business and you need to be sure to enlist the services of an expert. There are a number of serious hazards which you can encounter, especially when dealing with waste that has been in situ for some time. Apart from the danger of physical injury, there is also the potential for infections or vermin which needs to be handled with care. That is quite apart from the possible presence of other harmful substances, such as asbestos.
