Somerset County Enterprises (SCE) is part of Somerset County Councils' Social Service Department, it offers 55 factory based jobs within SCE and 17 external places with host employers for adults with a disability.
We have a very well stocked retail outlet for all your disability equipment needs along with expert advice and after sales care.
SCE at Bridgwater
The Bridgwater based factory and headquarters houses our printing and engineering workshops and well stocked mobility showroom as well as managing our garden centre at manor road Frome.

Somerset County Enterprises Garden Centre has been in operation for approximately 15 years. We stock a wide range of goods and the range is constantly evolving.
We have a full range of fencing and trellis, timber, decking, hundreds of pots for outside and inside, composts, a wide range of aggregates and rockery stone, shrubs and trees, bedding and basket plants, tropical shrubs, ferns and heathers, wicker and willow ware, ornaments and statues.
We also have a small shop with a wide range of fertilisers and feeds, garden utensils and accessories, chemicals. We also sell seeds, grass seed and bulbs.

- Light fabrication, involving sheet, plate, bar and box section.
- The workshop offers a first-class selection of welding services, covering most aspects of welding.

Quantities of accurate vertical and horizontal milling are carried out on a regular basis. (Three axis readout fitted)

CNC Turning, Centre and Capstan lathe turning.

Plastic injection moulding.
